What is the project about?
Located in Puerto Iguazú, on the Argentine side of the falls, is the Abya Guaraní indigenous community, historical inhabitants of that territory that is sacred to them. They are a community that has been culturalized and that is working for the recovery of their ancestral traditions.
How is VSocial involved in the project?
VSocial Foundation supports this community through workshops to improve its tourism offer.
For several years the Abya Guaraní decided to work in tourism with the idea of making their handicrafts visible and as a possibility to recover their ancestral territory that before working with tourism was not legally recognized. They are still in that fight.
