What is the project about?

Capachica is a peninsula located on Lake Titicaca on the Peruvian side, it is a place with 100% indigenous population where the VSocial Foundation has accompanied aqueduct processes and has supported three schools: Hilata, Llachon and Santa María.

How is VSocial involved in the project?

Capachica project includes the three mentioned schools that are located in the Capachica peninsula. Each of them has been supported by VSocial for more than 10 years with educational implements, food for the pupils, infrastructure and salary payments.

Since 2018, we have been working to strengthen community tourism so that they improve the services they provide to tourists and to work jointly to protect the peninsula environmentally, guaranteeing a unique experience.

What impact does the commitment have?

We have managed to directly impact more than 200 children annually, guaranteeing better conditions of education, nutrition and access to knowledge. As indirect beneficiaries we have more than 60 families that are part of the academic community of each of the schools
