VSocial Foundation supports more than 30 community-based tourism projects in Latin America and one of the most gratifying discoveries has been that most of the successful projects are led by women. It is a constant that every time women organize themselves for a tourism practice they manage the resources much better and the division of benefits is much more democratic.

Many of these projects are developed in indigenous communities and there each woman has developed her own way of leading the process and defending her rights through her economic empowerment and the way she works associatively.

So travel and every time you visit one of these projects enjoy not only the tourism product but the knowledge that each of these women have. Their stories are really impressive.
