What is the project about?
Sinchi Warmi is an organization located in the province of Napo, Tena canton, parish of Misahuallí, within Jatun Sacha and Selva Viva / Venice, which was born in 2009 led by women who have 19 partners who work in various productive activities, among those that are included: community, nature, cultural, agriculture, handicrafts and fish farming tourism. Her name means brave woman in Kichwa and it owns 40% of women and 60% of men working in the touristic activity itself. Likewise, this community remained true to its principles, promoting support for families, overcoming, sustainability and equity in the community. In the same way, the nationality of the foreign visitors who arrive the most to this community are: France, the United States, Italy, Spain and Germany while at a national level they are from: Quito, Cuenca, Guayaquil and Ambato. Among the needs to improve in the community are: sewage, drinking water, solar panels, the use of visual platforms and agreement with OTAs, presentation of leaflets in other languages, leadership, waiter, waiter and improvement in administration, in addition to presenting a problem in terms of improving its attractions. However, despite these limitations, this community presents food service through a restaurant with capacity for 24 people and an average cost of $6, as well as accommodation services, with cabins with capacity for 30 people and with an average cost of $20, guidance service, excursions and walks, nature tourism, ecotourism, community and ancestral.
